During recent years we have learned how important healthy weight is for our health. Being at a healthy weight reduces the risk for heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, depression plus other medical conditions. The best way to lose weight or stay at a healthy weight is to consume fewer calories by eating healthy and exercise. Some of the basics for eating healthily are whole grains instead of refined sources of carbohydrates, eating a variety of fruits and vegetables and choosing low-fat calcium, dairy products & lean protein. Having healthy eating habits is good for weight control, your heart and other diseases.
A good fitness level helps maintain healthy weight. Most adults should strive for 2 1/2 hours of moderate-intensity exercise each week.
When it comes to your health and well-being, there are many factors that should be considered. Nobody can completely eliminate the chances of developing certain diseases or conditions but there are things you can do to reduce the risk.
Follow Up With Your PCP (Primary Care Physician)
In order to track your health schedule regular checkups with your primary care physician. It is important that we all have a health-care provider who we see regularly. How often a person needs checkups depends on age, gender and overall health status, so check with your PCP.
